If you've ever wondered what it would be like living under a federal government internet filtering scheme, you should go to this URL (http://nanourl.net/2c97a) and type in your own website address or one that you go to frequently.

Worth passing on. Even though Senator Nick Xenophon has now come out against the government's plans to filter the internet, the online adult industry is not out of the rough water by any means. There are plenty of ways the government can introduce filtering without legislation and they could even just announce a mandatory black list and then encourage religious and moral's groups to spend all their time over the next year trawling the net for Australian porn and adult industry sites and reporting them. There would be no lack of people ready to do this and the government would know it.
