AUSTRALIAN celebrities have come up trumps as the most desirable bed partners for both men and women in a comprehensive online sex survey.

According to a poll of more than 2000 online readers, Hugh Jackman beat out Brad Pitt, Matthew McConaughey and George Clooney as the dream choices for women.

Jennifer Hawkins, Salma Hayek, Megan Gale and Kim Kardashian were the top four fantasy choices for men.

Further down the list but still in the top ten for women were David Beckham, Daniel Craig and Zac Efron.

Miranda Kerr, Jennifer Aniston, Beyonce and Lara Bingle were next favourite for men.

In other startling results, nearly three out of ten women would rather go out to dinner than have sex and 15 per cent would rather take a nap, the research shows.

But The Daily Telegraph on-line's Super Sex Survey also found most respondents would still rather have sex over any other activity.

According to the findings 69 per cent of men would choose to have sex above all else, while only 37 per cent of women would.

Women were more likely than men to choose catching up with a friend, going to the pub, seeing a movie or taking a nap than men.
