The Australian Christian Lobby has confirmed that it has not changed its position on the Government’s proposal to introduce ISP filtering of pornography.
"We support the Government’s stated position to require ISP’s to mandatorily block Refused Classification (RC) content that has been identified by ACMA," said ACL Managing Director Jim Wallace.
"Dependent on the technical trial results," said Mr Wallace, "I expect the Government to be aiming to achieve a filtering system, that at the optional level, filters X and R18+, and that this material only goes to people who "opt in" for it.

ACMA boss blames media for blacklist 'conspiracy'
THE head of the media watchdog has accused journalists of whipping up controversy over the Federal Government's secret list of banned websites.
In an internal email obtained by news.com.au, Australian Communications and Media Authority chairman Chris Chapman said journalists had invented a "conspiracy".

A Brisbane gay couple have set a legal precedent for gay rights, winning a landmark anti-vilification case against their former neighbours who abused and taunted them, calling them “faggots”, “poofs” and “princesses”.
Last November Queensland’s Anti-Discrimination Tribunal found that the Lawsons had vilified their gay neighbours during a nasty nine month dispute about barking Alsatian dogs and a boundary fence.
