Sex Party Aims High in NSW

Prof Ross Fitzgerald to Launch Senate Campaign

10/05/2016

The Australian Sex Party warmly invites you to attend the campaign launch for New South Wales Senate Candidate, Professor Ross Fitzgerald.

Professor Ross is an Australian secularist, broadcaster, historian, biographer, journalist and social and political commentator. For 20 years, he was a member of a member of the Queensland Parole Board and then the NSW State Parole Authority.

He is an Emeritus Professor in History and Politics at Griffith University. In 2014, he was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia.

Professor Ross is the author of scores of books  including The History of Queensland and a biography of the famous Labor Treasurer, ‘Red’ Ted Theodore.  In his ‘Grafton Everest’ series of politically-inspired novels he famously predicts the rise of a university professor, in a fictional state of Australia called Mangoland, to the Australian Senate.  Could life be imitating art?

Professor Ross will be campaigning on a platform of taxing all religious institutions, dying with dignity, support for same sex marriage and prison reform.

In light of his support for drug law reform as well, the campaign launch will be serving ‘high tea.’ Make of that what you will.

Leader of the Australian Sex Party, Victorian Upper House MP Fiona Patten, and party co-founder Robbie Swan will be in attendance to officially launch his campaign, as will Sue Raye who will run on the ticket with Professor Ross.

Wednesday 11 May. 11:00am for 11:30am start.
