The Australian Sex Party advocates for 24-hour public transport to and from capital city CBDs on weekends.

In 2016, Melbourne joined London, Berlin, New York and Paris in offering 24-hour public transport to and from the CBD on weekends.

It's time the rest of our cities got on board.

Twenty-four hour weekend public transport will:

• improve the safety of people who work in or visit the city on weekends;
• improve access to employment for people who rely on public transport;
• provide a cheaper and more reliable means of travel to and from the city;
• increase visits to city services and venues; and
• boost Australian capital cities' reputations as truly international cities.
