Sanitary products (i.e., pads and tampons) are essential to female hygiene and well-being, however, they are classed by the ATO as non-essential and attract 10% GST. Other health products that do not attract GST include: condoms, dams, personal lubricants, sunscreen and nicotine patches.

The Australian Sex Party will ensure that that all women’s sanitary products (tampons, pads, liners) are exempt from GST.
