Whistleblower protection is essential to maintaining the integrity of institutions and organisations that would otherwise be unaccountable. However, the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2013 is limited in its protective powers. It does not protect whistleblowers in relation to the activities of ASIO, ASIS, politicians or non-government organisations.  

Extend the protections of the:

• Public Interest Disclosure Act 2013 to disclosures regarding all government entities, and
• Corporations Act 2004 to disclosures regarding the whole private sector.
