The Australian Sex Party has taken its campaign to win the seat of Broadmeadows to the streets and has been unrolling its banners on the Hume Freeway during peak hour traffic.

Candidate, Merinda Davis, said that she was getting between 5-10% honks from passing motorists which she said was as good as a Morgan poll for her. "Because this by election has been ignored by the major parties and the media, they could all get a big shock as people register a protest at big party politics and a real interest in the grass roots politics that the Sex Party engages in", she said.

Ms Davis said that she might go back out onto the freeway later today and early tomorrow morning.
