Doctor warns that wild children of 60s & 70s now paying the price with a spike in cancer of the tonsils and tongue

The sexual revolution of the 1960s and 1970s could be behind a spike in cases of cancer of the tonsils and tongue, a Brisbane specialist says.

Head and neck specialists, radiologists and other clinical experts came together at a recent health conference at Brisbane's Princess Alexandra Hospital to discuss the rise in those caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) infection.

A Special General Meeting for the Sex Party NSW has been called by the NSW Sex Party Executive for the 5th Decemeber 2012, from 6:45pm at The Local Taphouse, L1 122 Flinders St Darlinghurst NSW.

An official notice and agenda of the Special General Meeting will be sent to voting members of the NSW Branch no later than 14th November 2012.

Volunteering on the Sex Party stand at the Newtown Festival

Dear Sex Party Members & Supporters,

We are happy to announce that this year The Australian Sex Party will be holding its own stall at the Newtown Festival.

The Newtown Festival is organised by Newtown Neighbourhood Centre, and for more than 30 years the centre has given the festival to its community as a free event. The festival is a showcase of all things Newtown with huge crowds gathering each year for a day of  community celebration.  We are really excited to be involved with this festival!

One in 20 priests an abuser, inquiry told

At least one in 20 Catholic priests in Melbourne is a child sex abuser, although the real figure is probably one in 15, the state inquiry into the churches' handling of sex abuse was told yesterday.

Last night I attended the Melbourne Chargers Awards night. It was a glitzy affair. The men looked very handsome in suits and some went as far as black tie. I even popped on some sequins which is not my usual Monday evening attire. In fact I have never seen so many clothes at the Sircuit bar.

Thoughts on policing/regulating the adult sex work industry

copHatAcross Australian jurisdictions right now we are seeing a conservative push to introduce a raft of criminal and regulatory laws in relation to the adult sex industry.  Many of the humane, sensible and progressive gains made in recent years are under serious threat, driven by the Christian-fuelled right wing of Australian politics.  It is a sad indictment of our times.
