Amyis a remedial massage therapist and a small business operator. She has been living in regional Victoria where she has gained insight and experience in community leadership through Rotary and the Northern Mallee Leadership program.

She is a keen roller derby player and is passionate about getting young regional people involved in politics and advocacy.

She has previously run for the Australian Sex Party in the 2013 Federal Election for the seat of Mallee.
