WA Senate Party candidate, Justine Martin, has just announced she will marry her partner and campaign manager, Kelly Kirkpatrick.

Justine said Kelly’s proposal was ‘out of the blue’ but that campaigning for the Sex Party had brought out a lot of old fashioned values in both of them and that the time was now right.

“We were both swingers and met on the dating site Red Hot Pie at the beginning of the year but I was honestly shocked when he proposed”, said Justine. She said that both of them had been looking for a sexual relationship through the swinging scene but were tired of pubs and clubs as a place to meet prospective partners. “We chatted for a few weeks on email before agreeing to meet and check each other. After four days of this, we both knew there wasn’t any strings between us….but one huge rope! This caught us both off guard. Both of us right from the start said that we could never be monogamous and therefore we still have a profile on Red Hot Pie. As a couple, ‘Justkel’ we play together. We find it a lot easier to meet like-minded people on dating sites.“

“He bought me a big engagement ring which he secretly bought with my daughter and he even asked my dad if he could marry me”, she said. “There’s still some old fashioned values in the Sex Party”.

“If I become a Senator after the weekend, I’ll shake things up a bit in Canberra”, she said. “The Sex Party could kick off some sort of dating agency for parliamentarians and their staffers that was discreet and private. I think a lot of them would use it”.

The couple have set an engagement party to coincide with the Sex Party’s run at the Victorian state election in November.

Congratulations to the happy couple.
