Following the sex scandals in NSW over the last few days, the Australian Sex Party has released a new online and television promotion, called - Sex Scandals. The promo warns parliamentarians of the dangers of sex scandals and hypocrisy. The film clip was quickly produced by Adelaide-based agency, Fnuky, who created the Jerk Choices ad for the Sex Party during the election campaign. Jerk Choices became the most watched political ad of the campaign posting a record number of 196,000 viewings and overtaking the Kevin O’Lemon ad. Sex Party President Fiona Patten said that she had sent a copy of the ad to the three federal independents who would decide government, with a message for them to consider morality and hypocrisy as issues of integrity that were the equal of economic and social issues they were weighing up. “With the election of the DLP to the Senate, a Coalition leader who is a staunch defender of B.A. Santamaria and at least one of Labor’s new powerbrokers from the shoppies union, the three independents need to consider the effect that the church may have on Australian social policy over the next few years”, she said. “Julia Gillard has committed over $200 million to funding the chaplaincy programs in schools and before the ink is dry on the deal, we have a school chaplain from WA charged with child porn offences”, she said. “The Rev Fred Nile is still unable to explain 200,000 hits on porn sites from his office and an ‘anti- porn’ member of the NSW government has just resigned for watching porn on his computer”. She said that the church’s influence on Australian political life has been devastating and Bob Katter, Rob Oakshott and Tony Windsor should consider whether they want to see a truly secular Australia in the next few years or a form of ‘democratic theocracy’. “They need to be convinced that which ever side of politics they support, will be the one least likely to bring Australia into disrepute through a hypocritical sex scandal”.
